2016 Yearling Gathering at Rising Star Ranch

We had a great time and sold some great yearlings during the 2016 edition of The Yearling Gathering at Rising Star Ranch. This year’s yearlings available to sell were down in volume but high in quality. Many yearling had sold quite well during the spring of 2016 which left the supply of the top quality yearlings for the sales during the Celebration somewhat limited.

These yearlings were what the buyers desired most. Here are the top 10 selling yearlings at The Yearling Gathering at Rising Star Ranch.

1. Jose’s Redskin, a stallion, sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of Dr. In Command (I’m In Command).
2. Jose’s The Dark Knight, a stallion, sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of Jazz Man’s Dark Beauty (A Jazz Man).
3. Walkin’ & Shakin, a stallion, sired by Lined With Cash and out of She’s Our Amazing Grace (Jose’ Jose’).
4. Racquel Ritz, a filly, sired by He’s Puttin’ On The Ritz and out of Jose’s Pretty Pusher (Jose’ Jose’).
5. My Jose’s Ladybug, a filly, Sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of Dollar’s Charming Lady (Generator’s Silver Dollar).
6. Jose’s Airborne, a stallion, sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of She’s Lined With Roses (Lined With Cash).
7. All American-N-Blue, a stallion, sired by All American Cash and out of The Roan Generation (Gen’s Roan Reward).
8. Cash For Beam, a stallion, sired by Lined With Cash and out of M.D. Williams (Ted Williams)
9. Luck of Jose, a filly, sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of Lucky’s Grey Lady (JFK).
10. Geronimo CF, a stallion, sired by Gen’s Armed and Dangerous and out of Little Cloud RC (Delightful Colors).

Our top 5 selling yearlings averaged $10,400. Our top 10 selling yearlings averaged $8,100. The top 20 yearlings sold averaged $5,425.

We were also proud of 3 “Graduates” from the 2015 Yearling Gathering earning World Championships at the 2016 Celebration. They are:

1. Ms.Understood(Hocus Pocus Jazz)-Two-Year-Old Amateur Trail Pleasure World Champion AND Two-Year Old Trail Pleasure World Champion.
