It’s a homecoming at Sugar Creek with the arrival of WGC Minor Ordeal. Bred and raised on the exact same farm he now stands we are so proud to be representing Minor Ordeal in the breeding shed.

Bred and raised by Debbie Eichler, Minor Ordeal is the most acclaimed horse raised at this farm. He was started in training at Dick Peebles Stables and was started by the great hands of the late Brian Smith. It was there at Peebles Stables that Minor Ordeal gained the attention of Tyler Baucom who was looking for the “Next Great One” for owner Mona Dean. A deal was struck, and Minor Ordeal became part of the Baucom Stable and under the ownership of Mona Dean.

Minor Ordeal was undefeated during his Two-Year-Old year with his maiden win at the 2017 National Trainers Show, that followed with wins at Dallas, North Carolina, The Spring Fun Show and a Two-Year-Old Stallion World Championship and World Grand Championship at the 2017 Celebration.

Minor Ordeal’s Show career consisted of 22 show ring appearances with 18 championships and 4 reserve championships. As noted above he went undefeated at Two as well as undefeated as a Three-Year-Old and a Four-Year-Old In his career he was a World Champion as a Two, Three, Four, Five and Six Year Old. At the 2020 Celebration Minor was crowned World Champion Aged Stallion and Reserve World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse.

Minor Ordeal is sired by WGC Arm’s Deal For Real M and his dam is the Gen.’s Major General daughter A General’s Promise. His 2nd dam is the great World Champion show mare My Promises Promises. My Promises Promises, in addition to the dam of Minor Ordeal, also produced multi–World Grand Champion Broken Promises.

World Grand Champion My Promises Promises is the 2nd dam of WGC Minor Ordeal.

1998 O/A World Grand Champion Three-Year-Old and 1999 O/A World Grand Champion Four-Year-Old Broken Promises is the brother to the dam of Minor Ordeal.

Minor Ordeal is a powerful, well gaited show horse with a huge overstride, large front end, perfect headset, and perfect timing. He is a true walking horse and shakes his head with every step. These great attributes you can’t easily teach, the great ones are born with them. We are very anxious to get Minor Ordeal’s career in the breeding shed started so we can see all the great foals we know he will produce. Call us today and be a part of the first crop of foals sired by the great WGC Minor Ordeal.
