Nino’s Category Five, affectionately know by many in the industry as “Chicken”, is another 2020 addition to the Sugar Creek line-up. Bred, raised, owned and loved by Dr. Barbra Moersch of Rolling Hills Farm in Jacksonville, Alabama, He is a combination of two family lines that have been highly successful in our breed.

Sired by 2008 World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse Santanas El Nino and out of the ONLY Full sister to the late great producing sire A Strong Dollar, “Chicken” provides a pedigree and a link to the success of both bloodlines. With the loss of A Strong Dollar and two of his most renown sons WGC A Strong Need For Cash and WGC He’s Vida Blue, the opportunity of tapping into the best of that bloodline now lies with Category Five.

Nino’s Category Five

His phenomenal show ring success continues, highlights include being awarded the Res. World Championship as a Two Year Old. This is significant as a breeding stallion. Most of the successful breeding stallions had success when they were Two and Three.

For four straight years at the Celebration he was crowned World Champion in the Trainer’s Specialty Class and for 2 of those years consecutively he was crowned Res. World Grand Champion Open Specialty Horse.

From 2014-2017 Nino’s Category Five was ranked one of the best, winning a World Championship each of those years.

Nino’s Category Five foals have been a recent favorite of many flat shod specific trainers. They love their huge overstride which they look for on those top shelf flat shod prospects. We predict his foals will make an impact in The Maiden Championship competition.

With his pedigree, show ring ability, and his beautiful look; we expect Nino’s Category Five to be among the top echelon of producing stallions in just a few short years.
