Gen A’Mighty is Your 2018 Tennessee Walking Horse World Grand Champion! This son of Gen’s Black Gin “wowed the crowd” at the 2018 Celebration. He’s a stallion with an award-winning pedigree, a tremendous show record, beautiful to look at and an owner who has supported the Tennessee Walking Horse industry for years.

Bred by Gary Higgins and raised by Dr. Tommy Vinson, Gen A’Mighty is out of the World Champion mare Encore’s Magic Lady. Encore’s Magic Lady comes from a long line of great mares developed by TWHBEA Master Breeder Hoyte Eakes. Encore’s Magic Lady also produced other show ring stars including four full brothers to Gen A’Mighty; World Grand Champion Gin’s Shadow, Reserve World Champion Boon’s Gin and Gin’s Who Dat & Team Six Boots who like Gen A’Mighty were both Top Three finishers in the Celebration Two Year Old Stallion class. Breeders know success as young horses always proves to be a great indicator of what kind of colts a stallion can produce.

The dam of Gen A’Mighty, Encore’s Magic Lady, becoming the 2003 World Champion Yearling Filly. She went on to become the 2003 Reserve World Grand Champion Yearling.

His 2nd dam Maxie Choice, she herself a World Grand Champion, National Futurity Champion and Reserve World Champion as a two year old in the plantation division, in addition to producing World Champion Encore’s Magic Lady also produced 8 other successful show horses including Res. World Grand Champion Three Year Old I’m Mr. Threat, and Jazzy Maxie the dam of Multi World Grand Champion I Walk The Walk and World Champion I Talk The Talk T.H.F.

The 2nd dam of Gen A’Mighty, Maxie Choice was a National Futurity Champion and World Grand Champion Weanling in 1992. She went on to become a National Futurity Champion under saddle as well as A Reserve World Champion in the Two-Year-Old Plantation class in 1994.

Gen A’Mighty’s extended mare which includes his 3rd dam Maxie Magic. In addition to WGC Maxie Choice above, Maxie Magic is also the dam of World Champion Maximum Threat. Gen A’Mighty’s pedigree is more than proven and steeped with show horses of the highest echelon.

The 3rd dam of Gen A’Mighty, Maxie Magic, was herself a World Champion Three-Year-Old Mare in 1983

His show ring career and show ring abilities are as equally proven as his pedigree. As a Two Year Old Gen A’Mighty was Reserve World Champion Two Year Old Stallion and had a 3rd place finish in the Two Year Old World Grand Championship in 2014. As a three year old he had the same outcome in 2015. He was again Reserve World Champion Three Year Old and 3rd in the Three Year Old Championship. He did not compete as a four year old at the Celebration in 2016 nor in his first year of aged competition in 2017. In 2018 it all came together with Master Showman Jimmy McConnell guiding him to a Reserve Stallion World Championship and ultimately the 2018 title of World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse. A Show Horse is always known by his titles but even more his level of competition. In all of his Celebration appearances the only horses to ever be placed above Gen A’Mighty were Multi-WGC Rammer Jammer, WGC The Land Shark, WGC Uptight Jose’, WGC Really Coach, Res. WGC Stretch Your Dollar and Multi WGC I’m Mayhem. In the case of Rammer Jammer, The Land Shark and I’m Mayhem, Gen A’Mighty defeated them also in later Celebration competition. A proven show record and a fan following Gen A’Mighty has.

As you see in his photos and in person in the show ring, Gen A’Mighty has a beautiful neck and head carriage, a tremendously aesthetically pleasing head, a powerful chest and strong body structure, but his most significant attribute is his back leg structure that naturally produces his signature over-striding back end. This feature is talked about most by breeders looking to increase the stride behind of mares that can be somewhat straight legged. Gen A’ Mighty should pass on all these top-quality attributes to his foals.

His owner Mike Floyd, without a doubt one of the nicest people in the horse business. He has supported this industry and has enjoyed the Tennessee Walking Horse for decades. Having had World Champions in the past, I’m sure he would say he’s never had one like Gen A’ Mighty. We hope you will consider Gen A’Mighty as one of your breeding choices and as we anticipate we will see his foals in the winners circle in the coming years.

Gen A’Mighty’s first foals will be shown under saddle in 2022!
