We have been looking forward to adding No Mas Tequila to our Sugar Creek stallion line-up for a while now. Bred and raised by TWHBEA Master Breeder Charles Gleghorn, No Mas is a son of the great Jose’ Jose’ and out of the top producing mare Especially Yours, a daughter of the great show horse A Specialist. Trained by Callaway Stables and owned by Lisa Baum since early in his Two Year Old year, No Mas comes from a great family and has been a great show ring performer.
The first 3 Foals sired by Jose’ Jose’ out of Especially Yours have all reached World Caliber status. No Mas Tequila was the 2017 Reserve World Grand Champion Two-Year-Old and 2018 World Grand Champion Three Year Old. Special By Jose was the 2020 Reserve World Champion Two-Year-Old Stallion and placed 3rd in the 2020 Two-Year-Old Championship. Their baby sister Especially Jose was the 2021 TWHBEA National Futurity Reserve Champion Two-Year-Old Mare. No Mas’ pedigree strength is also proven in his 2nd dam Pusher’s Walkin On who is a sister to perennial show ring favorite and “Big Stake” contender Pusher’s Force. Pusher’s Walkin On, a top producer herself, produced 10 foals with 9 having a show record. The extended mare line of No Mas has produced multiple titled show horses.
No Mas provides breeders a unique pedigree in a Jose’ Jose’ son with the 2 best outcross bloodlines on his mare line in A Specialist and The Pusher C.G. He is a handsome chestnut stallion with a beautiful head and keen ear. Standing his first season at stud, we expect the demand of No Mas to rise greatly when his first foals arrive.
No Mas Tequila was the 2017 Reserve World Grand Champion Two-Year-Old and the 2018 World Grand Champion Three-Year-Old.
